Kate Hevers
I make pottery meant to be used and loved in everyday life: mugs for slow mornings, bowls for shared meals, and pieces that quietly become part of your routine. My work is inspired by florals, historic forms, and the steady rhythm of time spent at the wheel, blending modern shapes with a sense of familiarity and warmth. Every piece is handmade in my Rochester NY studio from wet clay to finished form.
In addition to my studio practice, I work as a village potter at a local living history museum, where I use a kick wheel and traditional methods to recreate 19th century pottery and share the history of the craft with visitors. That connection to history and making by hand deeply influences my work today, reminding me that pottery has always been about usefulness, beauty and daily life.
Each piece I make is created slowly and thoughtfully with the hope that it will be woven into your home, used often with love and enjoyed for years to come.
Thank you for being here and for supporting handmade work.
